Sunsets are undeniably beautiful to look at. But witnessing one in the backdrop of the vast Savanna Plains of East Africa, is a truly special moment. I had the privilege of having that moment during our safari in the Masai Mara Reserve. We were just heading back to our camp after the game drive at dusk, when the sun started sinking into the horizon. At that point of time, the sky exploded with varying shades of yellow and orange, and this scene took my breath away. The stark landscapes punctuated with the occasional tree, only added to the effect. This scene lingered on for a few minutes before the sun disappeared completely shrouding us in darkness.
