Black Forest, Baden-Württemberg, Germany (13th October 2008)
Travelling through the Black Forest area in Germany virtually feels like journeying into fairy-tale land. Sprawling forests with varying shades of brown, green and yellow blanket the countryside creating a natural piece of art on the hilly canvas. In between, small houses resembling hobbit huts dot the landscape with the occasional castle thrown in. As we come across village after village with unpronounceable names straight from the ‘Lord of the Rings’, it really seemed like we were in a storybook!
I had so wanted to go to Black Forest last year but didn’t happen! Your travelogue and postcard have shown me what I missed and I am definitely going there when I get back to Europe 🙂

Hey Smruthi, glad that I could be of help 🙂 If possible, I suggest you stay for at least a couple of days there (something which I couldn’t do), go on hikes and leisurely explore the cute little villages there. It will be awesome

Oh ya definitely, I want to camp for a few days in the forest in Summer! I have heard there are camp sites around. That would be perfect =)
